Film Editing is one of the most important creative arts in film industry. It plays an essential role for creating rhythm of the film and emphasizing the vision of the director. It is also a technical process that requires the development of many technical skills. In this workshop, Emad Maher will teach you about the role of the editor in the story, rules of editing, when to follow the rules of editing and when to break it, what is shot, motion and rhythm, all in theory and practical practice.
About the instructor:
Emad Maher studied filmmaking at “Jesuits Film School” in Alexandria, then he worked as a DOP, Assistant Director, and a Film Editor for many indie short films, most notably “Dry Hot Summers” in 2009.
